Thank You for Making Our Mentoring Programs Successful
Longstanding studies show long-term, one-to-one, staff- supported volunteer mentoring works. As we mark National Mentoring Month this January, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Mercer County is honoring all who make up our successful community –parents, volunteers, staffers and donors who work together to make a mentoring match strong, enduring and successful.
The winner of this year's 50/50 Cash Raffle was Viren Maniar of West Windsor. Mr. Maniar will receive $13,500. His winning ticket, #410, was pulled in front of a large group of patrons at the Salt Creek Grille on Friday evening, December 16th. We congratulate Mr. Maniar who has supported our raffles for many years. Thank you to everyone who purchased a ticket for this raffle for their generous support of our youth mentoring programs.

Miss Mercer County 2011, Carmen Bloom, recently worked with a group of our Little Brothers and Sisters who prepared greeting cards and care packages for members of the US Military. The packages arrived on the US Ronald Reagan just in time to cheer the Navy personnel working to help the Japanese people deal with the devastation caused by the recent earthquake and tsunami.
